Free, Cool Online Math Tools for Contextualized Learning (Webinar)

How can you incorporate online instruction into trades education?

Looking to make your adult education mathematics class or tutoring more relevant and fun?

What real-life tools can support basic skills education for adults planning to enter the trades?

Learn more about The Literacy Cooperative’s updates to their free, downloadable Contextualized Curricula. This session will focus on open source online learning materials for mathematics in manufacturing and construction. Your adult learners will walk away feeling more prepared for both the HSE exams and job training programs.

The online landscape is constantly changing. TLC’s publications join dozens of other organizations who have provided industry-specific content online for adult educators: FREE! Our curricula curate the best of those free industry resources into structured sets of lessons specifically for non-traditional adult learners.

Discover the best of contextualized learning on the web, including:

  • real-world videos,
  • industry career exploration,
  • interactive learning activities, and
  • adaptive practice.

Your students will leave your classes more confident and job-ready. You will leave this webinar with practical content that you can incorporate in your instruction right away.

We will also discuss some paid resources currently used by adult educators for contextualized instruction. Consider how to evaluate (and calculate!) the added value of paid content, and learn how to save your program time & money. Inclusion in this webinar does not imply endorsement of or affiliation with any organization.
