Two of these developments, “Networks enable work to be organized in new ways” and “Sector boundaries are blurring” describe a change in approach. How the work is getting accomplished matters more now than who is doing the work.

In April 2010, the Literacy Cooperative is offering a unique training opportunity where participants will explore the idea of strategic partnerships. This session is open to practitioners, program managers, directors, and board members interested in building their organization’s capacity and developing the skills to know when it is best to collaborate or compete.

Facilitated by an expert in the field, Dr. John Yankey of Case Western Reserve University, this session will give participants an opportunity to explore and practice strategic partnership skills through a simulated exercise, and hear from an organization that has successfully engaged in a strategic partnership.
