Lesson plans are instrumental to communicating a teacher’s instructional activities regarding specific subject matter. Almost all lesson plans developed by teachers contain student learning objectives, instructional procedures, the required materials, and some written description of how the students will be evaluated. Not only does it serve as a guide but creating a lesson plan enables a teacher to take ownership of the content that is taught and the methods that he or she chooses to use.
