Upon receiving word that the grant had been funded in early July, participating nonprofits began actively seeking AmeriCorps Members to serve as either direct service providers or volunteer coordinators. Do you or someone you know have what it takes to devote a year of service to a literacy infused initiative? Recruitment for Member positions will continue through mid August.
In exchange for the opportunity to address the high levels of low literacy in Cuyahoga County and participate in a recognized, well-respected national and state program, full-time AmeriCorps Members are expected to serve 1700 hours and will receive:
Part-time members are expected to serve 900 hours and will receive a living allowance of $6,247.
